Meet Our Chocolatiers

Shiaosan Williams-Sheng spent nearly a decade working for a high-end chocolate manufacturer in the Bay Area. Fortunately for Défoncé, she was eager to try something new—to work for a chocolatier rather than a chocolate maker. And then Shiao persuaded Ryan Holmes, another San Francisco chocolate maker, to join the Défoncé team. For both of them, the opportunity to create the best cannabis chocolate bar in California was tough to resist. Now, Shiao oversees product development, experimenting with new flavor ideas, continually perfecting Défoncé’s chocolate processes and ensuring that each batch lives up to Défoncé’s high standards. And Ryan works hard in the R&D kitchen every day, making sure Défoncé’s chocolates are as exquisite as possible.
